Contrast Material: Often required
Exception: No contrast material is required for cerebral artery MRI imaging

Main Applications:

  • Narrowing and obstruction of arteries
  • Dilatation of arteries (aneurysm)
  • Malfomation of arteries (angioma)
  • Tumor vessels

The Abdominal Vessels:

  • Patients lie face-up on the MRT table, with their head at the front and your arms above your head.
  • Their head is inside the tunnel.
  • A coil is palced around the patient's  abdomen. Signals from the body are  received through this coil.
  • If an intravenous injection of contrast material is required,  it is provided through the venous access introduced earlier, which has an attached injector.

Pelvis and Leg Angiography

  • Patients lie face-up on the MRT table, with their legs at the front and arms above their head. Their legs are fixed with a harness.
  • The patient's head is usually outside the tunnel.
  • A coil is placed around the patient's legs. Signals from your body are received through this coil.
  • The patient is  positioned centrally in the tunnel. It may be necessary to move the table during the examination.
  • If an intravenous injection of contrast material is required it is provided through the venous access introduced earlier, which has an attached injector.

The magnetic tunnel is illuminated from within, ventilated, and open at both ends. A window allows for visual contact with patients, who can contact the technologist at any time by speaking through an intercom system or pressing a bell. The scanner makes loud tapping sounds during the procedure, so patients are given ear plugs or headphones before the procedure.

Patients are requested to refrain from any movement during the examination since this disturbs imaging as well as their evaluation / reporting by the doctor.
